ABOUT ME:
Narine Zilfugharyan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specialized in individual group therapy and maintains an esteemed practice in Fresno, CA. She is also the CEO of Nairi DBT Behavioral Health and Nairi Youth INC.
Narine Zilfugharyan has worked in an array of outpatient settings including community mental health clinics, public institutions, working with individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, adolescence with emotional disturbance, behavioral problems.
Narine Zilfugharyan is currently serving as a practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are: DBT therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, substance abuse, self-harm, suicide, addiction, and PTSD.
Narine Zilfugharyan has completed the 10-day Intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy training through Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan's training institute. She is a part of community DBT consultant team.
Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and teaching healthy coping skills that can help clients effectively resolve personal life challenges and replacing maladaptive behaviors with adaptive coping skills. With compassion and understanding, she works with everyone to help them to build her/his strengths and attain the personal growth and build “a life worth living “.
Narine Zilfugharyan is a certified EMDR therapist and has got her EMDR training through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness. She uses both treatment approaches to treat trauma and Stressor-related Disorders. Currently Narine is CIT in training through The Institute of Creative Mindfulness Institute.
“We do not always realize how our life can be negatively impacted by emotional injuries, past events and attachment challenges that can cause distress and misery. With the help of DBT skills and reprocessing, (EMDR) we can become free of having to satisfy the demands of our own desires, urges, and intense emotions”.
